Airsoft Guns

What exactly are airsoft guns?
Airsoft Guns were first developed by in the United States about 30 years ago and were intended for light entertainment. Airsoft guns use air, gas (CO₂, Green Gas), electric motor, or a spring to propel a 6mm lightweight plastic BB at a speed of 100 feet per second (FPS) to upwards of 300 feet per second depending on the gun.

Airsoft guns allow you to use them indoors, outdoors, in a safe enviroment while avoiding all the risks of real firearms. Most airsoft guns are required to have the tip of the gun painted in orange so they're not mistaken as a real firearm.

There are many different types of airsoft guns including: airsoft pistols, airsoft rifles, airsoft sniper rifles, airsoft grenade launchers, airsoft rocket launchers, and many more. In most movies nowadays the guns you see are airsoft guns. In the movie Tomb Raider, Lora Croft used the Raider USP Heavy Weight Spring Pistol which you can find in our online-store.

There are basically 3 different propulsion systems for airsoft guns. Spring/Air, Electric (AEG), and Gas (which uses carbon dioxide (C0₂)). To learn more specific information on how these different types work, click the following link: Airsoft gun propulsion.

Nowadays airsoft guns are becoming more and more popular around the globe. Large tournaments are being held for cash and prizes which people come from all over the world to compete. Note: Airsoft guns CANNOT be modified to shoot real ammunition.
